The dry room twin rotor dehumidifier is for ultra-low humidity, which is a relative humidity of 1% (dew point temperature -33℃) or less in a battery manufacturing process, and is called the best technology in the air conditioning field. Because it is an energy-intensive system, energy saving must be considered. Recently, a relative humidity of 0.1 to 0.5% is required, so the twin rotor dehumidifiers is increasingly supplied.
The dry room twin rotor dehumidifier for secondary battery process saves more than 30% of energy compared to the existing single rotor dehumidifier.
As the regeneration exhaust air condition of existing single rotor dehumidifier is a high-temperature and mid-humidity condition, the waste heat can be used with the energy saving measures.
1) The main regeneration exhaust is used as the 1st rotor regeneration heat source.
2) The system is composed of a 3-stage dehumidification system with the 1st outdoor air precooler cooling dew point dehumidification + 2nd desiccant dehumidification using waste heat + 3rd desiccant main dehumidification(previously, 2-stage dehumidification).
3) By 3-stage dehumidification, the regeneration temperature of main dehumidifier could be reduced from 180℃ to 150℃, and the regeneration heater capacity was reduced by more than 25%.
4) There was the increase in dehumidification by 3-stage dehumidification. So, more than 30% of the regeneration air volume could be reduced. This could make the precooler capacity's reduction by more than 10%.
5) The precooler design capacity could be reduced by 20% due to the use of additional regeneration exhaust air.
According to the above, it has achieved the energy savings of more than 30% compared to the existing single rotor, and is playing a role in the domestic and international automobile battery industries.
